Today, the BRAA preserves and maintains the history of the Black River area and through education perpetuates its wildlife and natural beauty. The Black River Advancement Association is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
Black River has approximately 3,500 residents. It is a more densely populated residential area in the northeast quarter of the Town of Wilson. Black River features tall evergreens and dense woodlands. It has the feeling of being “Up North.” The Town of Wilson, located to the south/southwest of Sheboygan, is 23 square miles.
New Residents
Are you new to the Black River area? If you have moved to the area or you are not currently on our mailing list and would like more information about membership or would like to be more involved in the community, please email us at Membership.
Time and Talent
The BRAA is looking for members interested in donating an hour or two a month. There are many different ways to become involved: Buildings and Grounds, Fall Fry Event, Programming, Jung Center Project, Invasive Species Issues, and the biggest one… new ideas! There is so much that could be done, but it takes the time and talents of those in the community to make them happen. Call Scott at 920-457-2111 for more information on how you can contribute.
